The Spirealm (致命游戏)

Ling Jiushi, a VR game designer, quits his job and receives a mysterious beta game from abroad. After a car accident, he finds himself in a corridor lined with twelve iron doors, a surreal world called "The Spirealm" where each door leads to deadly life-or-death challenges. Guided by the enigmatic player Ruan Lanzhu, he must complete the tasks behind each door to survive, uncover the game's secrets, and eventually find his way back home.

The show's 78 short episodes (≈20 min each) follow a general progression through a series of "door worlds." These arcs can be broadly mapped out as follows. Please note that this is a general guide based on episode titles and available synopses; small variations within ranges are possible:

• Act 1: Snow Village (episodes 1-7): Ling Jiushi is pulled into the Spirealm game and must survive the snowy mountain village where a coffin must be built before the "ghost" kills everyone.
• Act 2: Fitcher's Bird (episodes 8-11): After surviving the first door, Ling Jiushi is given a clue to the next one. This challenge is considered so difficult that no one has ever survived it.
• Act 3: Subsequent Door Worlds (episodes 12-63): Ling Jiushi, now part of the "Black Obsidian" group, must tackle a series of progressively dangerous doors. Notable included storylines revolve around a Haunted Hospital/Nurse, the Filipino Island, the Sister Drum, The Offering Dance, The Girl in the Box and many more.
• Act 4: Final Doors & Conclusion (episodes 64-78): Ling Jiushi approaches the final doors, unveiling the fundamental mysteries and secrets behind the game's existence. He faces the ultimate trials and the full reality of his relationship with Ruan Lanzhu.
