Dai Luwa (代露娃)

Dai Luwa is the actress who makes you do a double-take. She first captured widespread attention as the spoiled yet endearing princess A'Nian in the blockbuster Lost You Forever (2023). However, it was her transformative performance as the seductive and ruthless demoness Fu Ling in Moonlight Mystique (2025) that truly cemented her status. This stunning contrast—from a sweet, innocent girl to a compelling, morally complex villain—showcased her remarkable range and earned her the title of “the female version of Jinjiang-style acting”, propelling her from a reliable supporting actress to a highly sought-after leading lady.

Breakthrough Role While Dai Luwa's career began in 2016 and she turned heads as the confident Huang Chengcheng in When We Were Young (2018), her major breakthrough came with the 2023 phenomenon Lost You Forever. As A'Nian, the willful yet pure-hearted Second Princess of Haoling, she brought a nuanced depth to a character that could have been one-dimensional, winning over audiences and earning her a nomination for Best Supporting Actress at the prestigious Golden Eagle Awards. The role dramatically raised her profile and opened the door to more complex characters.

Public Perception Today, Dai Luwa is widely regarded as a talented and versatile actress who is finally getting the recognition she deserves. A graduate of the Central Academy of Drama, she is praised for her “natural and smooth” acting and her ability to infuse characters with intricate details. Her performance as Fu Ling in Moonlight Mystique was a particular standout, with many viewers feeling she stole the show. While some lament that she lacks strong industry connections, her consistent work in major productions and selection for the “Wenrong Award” Young Actor Support Program indicate a rising star whose talent is undeniable.
