When I Fly Towards You (当我飞奔向你)

Adapted from Zhu Yi's novel She's A Little Crazy (She Bing De Bu Qing), the story begins in the autumn of 2012 in Jiangyi City. Bubbly and straightforward 16-year-old Su Zaizai falls head over heels for her intelligent but aloof and distant schoolmate, Zhang Lurang, after a chance encounter on a rainy day. As the "little sun" in his life, her relentless warmth gradually breaks down the walls he has built around his heart. The series follows the pair, along with their lively friend group (the cheerful Gu Ran, fiery Jiang Jia, and the easygoing Guan Fang), as they navigate the ups and downs of first love, friendship, and growth through high school and beyond.

With 24 episodes (each approx. 30–43 minutes), the series can be broadly broken down into three main story arcs:

• Act 1: First Encounters & Getting to Know Each Other (Episodes 1-9): Su Zaizai mistakes Zhang Lurang for a schoolmate she calls "Mr. Tall and Aloof" and begins her enthusiastic, direct pursuit to win his heart. Episode 5: Su Zaizai faces criticism for her behavior; Episode 8: Zhang Lurang replaces Shen Qianyu as the lead in the school play.
• Act 2: Friendships Blossom & Relationship Deepens (Episodes 10-17): After they start dating, the friend group grows closer, enjoying their best moments together as their bonds solidify. Episode 10: A special night train ride leaves a lasting memory; Episode 12: A study camp takes place.
• Act 3: Overcoming Challenges & Life After High School (Episodes 18-24): The young couple faces obstacles, including a forced separation to focus on their studies before the college entrance exams. They then navigate the challenges of a long-distance relationship in college and early adulthood before reaching their happy ending. Episode 18: Zaizai faces a difficult choice; Episode 22: Family tensions come to a head.
