To My Shore (吾岸)
Plot Overview
At the heart of Bangkok‘s glittering yet ruthless business world, an unlikely and dangerous encounter sets the stage for a story of obsession, betrayal, and redemption. You Shulang (played by Hao Yiran) is a reserved and highly competent director at a major pharmaceutical company. His life is stable, ordinary, and predictable — anchored by his supportive boyfriend Lu Zhen (Chen Jianyu). But everything changes when he gets into a minor rear-end car accident with Fan Xiao (Yun Qi), the enigmatic third-generation heir to a powerful Thai conglomerate who has returned to China on business. Unlike Shulang, whose life has been marked by quiet stability, Fan Xiao‘s world has been shattered by childhood trauma. Abandonment, betrayal, and emotional neglect have left him with a twisted, manipulative worldview. He views love not as connection but as a "game" and a "hunt". His outward gentleness masks a cold, calculating ruthlessness. When Fan Xiao discovers that Shulang is attracted to men, he devises elaborate plans to entice him into a relationship — not out of genuine affection, but out of a perverse desire to possess, control, and ultimately destroy Shulang‘s seemingly perfect life. What begins as a cruel game, however, slowly spirals into an all-consuming obsession. Fan Xiao finds himself genuinely falling for the very man he intended to manipulate. Shulang, meanwhile, is blindsided when Fan Xiao's true colors are exposed. What follows is a harrowing and darkly romantic journey: from forced pursuit to reluctant attraction, from possessive obsession to vulnerable love, and ultimately, from profound betrayal to a hard-won redemption. The question at the heart of To My Shore is not whether two people from different worlds can fall in love, but whether the damage they inflict on one another can ever truly be healed. Will Fan Xiao destroy the only genuine love he has ever known, or can he find a way to truly win Shulang‘s heart?
