The First Jasmine (莫离)

Based on the novel Sheng Shi Di Fei, The First Jasmine tells the story of Ye Li, the astute eldest daughter of the Ye family. After being confined to a mountain for eight years, she is forced into a political marriage with Mo Xiuyao, the wheelchair-bound Prince Ding. The marriage is a sham, each harboring their own secret agenda for revenge. As they navigate the treacherous court, where Ye Li's childhood sweetheart, Prince Li Mo Jingli, conspires to seize the throne, the two suspicious spouses transform from wary allies to steadfast partners. Together, they must uncover past crimes, stabilize the young emperor's rule, and find true love amidst the chaos.

The 40-episode series (approx. 45 min each) can be divided into four main story arcs:

• Act 1: The Strategic Marriage (Episodes 1-10): After eight years in exile, Ye Li is forced to marry the wheelchair-bound Prince Ding, Mo Xiuyao, on the same day her younger sister weds Prince Li. Entering his dilapidated manor, Ye Li discovers her new husband is cold, distant, and has his own mysterious past.
• Act 2: Unlikely Allies (Episodes 11-23): Ye Li starts eliminating officials who harmed her people, drawing Prince Ding's suspicion. They discover they share a common enemy, leading to an alliance built on mutual revenge. As they investigate, their relationship grows from business partners to true partners.
• Act 3: Webs of Intrigue (Episodes 24-33): The couple faces their biggest challenge when Prince Li escalates his conspiracy. Working together, they try to uncover his schemes while dealing with court enemies. Their fake relationship develops into genuine care and attraction.
• Act 4: A Kingdom United (Episodes 34-40): Ye Li and Prince Ding join forces with the young emperor to stop Prince Li's rebellion. After a final confrontation, they bring peace, and the couple finds their happy ending together.
