Plot Overview
Based on the novel Sheng Shi Di Fei, The First Jasmine tells the story of Ye Li, the astute eldest daughter of the Ye family. After being confined to a mountain for eight years, she is forced into a political marriage with Mo Xiuyao, the wheelchair-bound Prince Ding. The marriage is a sham, each harboring their own secret agenda for revenge. As they navigate the treacherous court, where Ye Li's childhood sweetheart, Prince Li Mo Jingli, conspires to seize the throne, the two suspicious spouses transform from wary allies to steadfast partners.
