The Better Marriage (嫁给盛先生)

After three years of marriage, Lin Qingyan (Claire Linwood) discovers that her marriage certificate with Song Yanjin was forged—and that the legal “Mrs. Song” is actually her own best friend. Heartbroken and betrayed, she accepts an invitation to marry the head of the Sheng family, a man she has never met. What begins as a marriage of convenience slowly turns into something real, as they grow to care for each other through mutual support. On the day of her grand wedding, her ex-husband’s family is left with nothing but regret, while Lin Qingyan simply holds Sheng Ting’s hand and walks away with her new love.

The 82-episode short drama (approx. 2 min each) can be broadly divided into four main story arcs:

• Act 1: The Betrayal (Episodes 1–20 approx.): Lin Qingyan discovers that her three-year marriage to Song Yanjin was a complete fraud—the marriage certificate is fake, and her most trusted best friend is the real “Mrs. Song.” Heartbroken by the double betrayal of love and friendship, she decides to walk away from the man who deceived her.
• Act 2: A Marriage of Convenience (Episodes 21–40 approx.): Lin Qingyan accepts an invitation to marry the head of the Sheng family—a powerful, mysterious man she has never met. The marriage begins as a cold, transactional arrangement, but through shared challenges and mutual support, the two gradually develop genuine feelings for each other.
• Act 3: Growing Closer (Episodes 41–60 approx.): As Lin Qingyan and Sheng Ting spend more time together, their bond deepens. She proves her intelligence and capability, earning the respect of Sheng Ting’s family. Meanwhile, her ex-husband’s family begins to realize what they have lost, and regret starts to set in.
• Act 4: The Grand Wedding & Moving On (Episodes 61–82): On the day of her magnificent wedding to Sheng Ting, Lin Qingyan’s ex-husband’s family is left with nothing but regret. She simply holds Sheng Ting’s hand, watches them face the consequences of their choices, and walks confidently into her new future with her true love.
