second chance at our love (雾色靡靡)

Seven years ago, the overweight Ni Wu (Cheng Qingmiao) secretly dated her college’s most eligible bachelor, Pei Huaiyu. Their relationship ended bitterly when she overheard him dismiss it as "just playing around." She left, pregnant with twins, and gave birth to a daughter (one twin passed away), all while he knew nothing. Now a slimmed-down single mother, Ni Wu brings her ill daughter to the hospital, only to discover that the attending physician is her ex-boyfriend, Pei Huaiyu . He fails to recognize her due to her transformation and name change, but his soul seems to instinctively remember, and he begins an intense pursuit to win her back .

This is a short-form drama with 67 episodes (approx. 2-3 minutes each) . The arcs can be roughly divided as follows:

• Act 1: The Painful Reunion (Episodes 1-15 approx.): Ni Wu brings her sick daughter to the hospital. The doctor is her ex-boyfriend, Pei Huaiyu, who doesn't recognize her. She is overwhelmed by the past, while he feels a strange, inexplicable pull toward her.
• Act 2: He Falls Again (Episodes 16-35 approx.): Pei Huaiyu is drawn to the mysterious "Ni Wu," even considering becoming the "other man" in her life, unaware she is his true love from seven years ago. She actively tries to keep her distance, but he relentlessly pursues her.
• Act 3: The Truth Unravels (Episodes 36-55 approx.): Hints of her past begin to surface. He starts to connect the dots between her mannerisms and his memories, leading to a revelation of her true identity as his former girlfriend, Cheng Qingmiao.
• Act 4: Redemption & Reunion (Episodes 56-67): As the past is fully exposed, the drama climaxes in a "wife-chasing" arc. He must prove his love and regret. They confront the past, including the existence of their daughter, and ultimately reconcile .
