Ye Bai and Huo Tingchen were a power couple who rose from the bottom to become the "Twin Kings" of Hong Kong City over fifteen years together. However, Huo Tingchen is deceived by Shen Jiajun and repeatedly hurts Ye Bai, even abandoning her on the Peak of Victoria Mountain, causing her to fall off a cliff. Ye Bai is saved by Gu Yu and spends two years recovering in a remote fishing village. She then returns to Hong Kong City, establishes the Ye Group, and rises to the top. Huo Tingchen, disguised as a masked man, tries to win her back, but Ye Bai has completely let go of the past and finds happiness with Gu Yu.

This 102-episode short-form drama can be broadly divided into four main story arcs:

• Act 1: Betrayal & The Fall (Episodes 1-25 approx.): Ye Bai and Huo Tingchen have built an empire together over fifteen years. However, Huo Tingchen is seduced and deceived by Shen Jiajun. He repeatedly sides with Shen Jiajun, hurts and humiliates Ye Bai, and ultimately abandons her on the Peak of Victoria Mountain, causing her to fall off a cliff.
• Act 2: Rebirth & Rising from the Ashes (Episodes 26-50 approx.): Ye Bai is rescued by Gu Yu and spends two years recovering in a remote fishing village. She rebuilds her strength and returns to Hong Kong City, founding the Ye Group and rising to the top of the business world.
• Act 3: The Masked Man's Pursuit (Episodes 51-75 approx.): Huo Tingchen, now disguised as a masked man, tries to get close to Ye Bai and win her back. However, Ye Bai has already moved on and sees through his schemes.
• Act 4: Letting Go & A New Beginning (Episodes 76-102): Ye Bai firmly rejects Huo Tingchen's attempts at reconciliation. She completely lets go of the past and finally finds true happiness with Gu Yu, who has been by her side through everything.
