Perfect Match (五福临门)

Set in Bianjing (present-day Kaifeng) during the reign of Emperor Renzong in the Northern Song Dynasty, the series follows Madame Li (played by Ni Hongjie), a widowed mother who has raised five beautiful daughters on her own after the early death of her husband and the loss of her only son. Although her daughters are renowned for their beauty and talent in their hometown of Luoyang, none have been able to find suitable matches — much to Madame Li's frustration.

Determined to secure good marriages for them, she relocates the entire family to the bustling capital city of Bianjing, hoping to start a new life. Along the way, the Li family opens a teahouse business while navigating the challenges of finding husbands for five headstrong daughters with wildly different personalities. Each daughter's quest for love unfolds in its own unique way, weaving together five distinct romantic storylines filled with comedic misunderstandings, heartfelt moments, and plenty of sweet chemistry.

Synopsis Upon arriving in Bianjing, the Li family receives an unwelcome surprise: the second daughter Fu Hui, who had married into a wealthy family in the capital, refuses to even open the door to her own relatives. With nowhere else to turn, Madame Li and her daughters are forced to find their own footing in an unfamiliar city. They decide to open a teahouse called Si Fu Zhai (Four Blessings Teahouse) to make a living, but immediately face a series of challenges from rival businesses and local troublemakers. Meanwhile, the third daughter Kang Ning finds herself locked in an escalating rivalry with Chai An, the wealthy landlord who owns the teahouse directly across the street. Their competitive dynamic quickly turns into a battle of wits over customers, reputation, and eventually — matters of the heart. This arc establishes the central conflicts and romantic threads that will unfold over the course of the series.

Arc 2: Hearts in Motion — Romantic Entanglements Deepen (Episodes 11–25)

Synopsis As the Li family finds its footing in Bianjing, each daughter's romantic journey takes center stage. The eldest daughter Shou Hua, a young widow who had sworn off marriage, finds herself drawn to the gentle scholar Du Yangxi after saving his life. Their relationship evolves from a practical arrangement to genuine affection as Du Yangxi pursues her with earnest devotion. Meanwhile, Fu Hui struggles to manage her marriage to Fan Lianghan, a wealthy merchant's son who cannot resist helping other women, earning him her constant scolding — though beneath it all, he loves only her. Kang Ning and Chai An's rivalry reaches new heights, with each scheming to outdo the other.
