Only for Love (以爱为营)

Adapted from Qiao Yao‘s novel Cuo Liao (Accidental Love), the story follows Zheng Shuyi, a sharp and ambitious finance reporter determined to land a front‑page story. To get revenge on her ex‑boyfriend who cheated on her with the niece of top financial executive Shi Yan, she sets out to seduce Shi Yan himself. However, she ends up genuinely falling for him. As their professional collaboration deepens through financial interviews and business coverage, their relationship evolves from manipulation to true love. Together, they navigate workplace rivalries, misunderstandings, and industry challenges, ultimately building a life together both in career and romance.

The 36‑episode series (≈45 min each) can be roughly divided into four main arcs:

• Act 1: First Encounters & The Interview Scheme (Episodes 1–10): Zheng Shuyi fights to secure an exclusive interview with young CEO Shi Yan. To get back at her ex‑boyfriend, she begins scheming to attract Shi Yan. He, however, finds her writing style impressive and decides to give her a chance. Their professional interaction slowly starts evolving into personal attraction.
• Act 2: Playing Couple & Growing Feelings (Episodes 11–20): Zheng Shuyi continues her “revenge plot” while the two find themselves spending more and more time together. Shi Yan begins to suspect she has an ulterior motive, yet genuine feelings take root between them. Workplace pressures and competition from other journalists threaten their budding relationship.
• Act 3: Truth Exposed & Emotional Turmoil (Episodes 21–28): Shi Yan discovers the truth about Zheng Shuyi‘s initial revenge scheme. Deeply hurt, a rift forms between them. Zheng Shuyi must confront her own lies, and both struggle to sort out whether their relationship was built on genuine affection or deception.
• Act 4: Reconciliation & A Future Together (Episodes 29–36): After a painful separation, Shi Yan and Zheng Shuyi work through their misunderstandings. They choose to trust each other again and face the challenges in their careers side by side. Their relationship matures, culminating in a formal proposal and a shared future both in love and in business.
