Plot Overview
Adapted from the novel of the same name by Milan, the story follows Lu Sha, a former foreign trade professional who quits her high-pressure job and moves to Haicheng to reunite with her younger sister, Lu Wei. However, she discovers her sister has been deceived and is left disabled after a car accident. The mastermind behind the tragedy is the mysterious wealthy Jiang family. To uncover the truth and seek revenge, Lu Sha seizes an opportunity when Jiang Zhengbang, the heir of the Jiang family, offers his help, and the two enter into a contractual relationship. Initially a relationship of mutual suspicion and transaction, it gradually deepens as Jiang Zhengbang falls for Lu Sha's resilience and sincerity. As Lu Sha uncovers the truth linking the tragedy to Jiang’s father, she finds herself torn between revenge and her growing feelings, ultimately leading to a heart-wrenching choice.
