Bones of Destiny (天命照骨)

Bones of Destiny is a fantasy short drama starring Ye Xinxin and Song Yifan. After a millennium of cultivating the ruthless Dao, the cultivator Shen Yuepo (Ye Xinxin) enters the mortal realm to undergo a heavenly tribulation. Reborn as the long-lost true daughter of the wealthy Shen family, her mission is not to seek family affection, but to sever all worldly ties and reclaim her fortune. Facing a scheming false heiress, biased family members, and karmic backlash, Shen Yuepo remains cold and detached, following the laws of Heaven to settle all debts. Eventually, she severs all mortal attachments and returns to the Great Dao.

The series is an 81-episode short drama with each episode lasting approximately 2 minutes. The arcs can be roughly divided as follows:

• Act 1: Descent into the Mortal World (Episodes 1-20 approx.): After a thousand years of cultivation, Shen Yuepo descends into the mortal world to undergo her tribulation. She is reborn as the true daughter of the Shen family and immediately faces a cold, unwelcoming family and the schemes of the false heiress.
• Act 2: Cold Strategies & Settling Scores (Episodes 21-40 approx.): Guided by her duty to sever ties and reclaim her fortune, Shen Yuepo begins to systematically dismantle the schemes of her opponents. She remains detached, using her wisdom to counter every attack and expose the false heiress's plots.
• Act 3: Karmic Reckoning (Episodes 41-60 approx.): As Shen Yuepo's actions sever family bonds, she faces karmic consequences and betrayals from those she once knew. She confronts the deep-seated biases within her family and continues to reclaim her stolen fortune.
• Act 4: Severance & Return (Episodes 61-81): Having settled all her karmic debts and cut off all mortal attachments, Shen Yuepo completes her heavenly tribulation. She ultimately severs her worldly ties for good and returns to the Great Dao to resume her cultivation.
